This page provides a plain-language summary of how TechBuild/DoorWhiz handles your data.
Your uploaded documents are not used to train AI models
The door schedules, hardware schedules, and other project documents you upload are processed with some commercial AI services to generate your takeoff. Under the applicable commercial service terms, uploaded content is not used to train or improve AI models. Your documents are processed only to provide the takeoff you request.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- The project documents you upload.
- Your email address and account information.
- Basic purchase and usage records.
- Your generated Excel workbook, summary, and scope assumptions
- Limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
Passwords are securely hashed using argon2id and are never stored in plain text.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number, security code, and expiration date are entered directly into Stripe’s payment system and are not stored on DFH Takeoff’s servers.
Storage and Access
Generated takeoffs may be stored so they can be downloaded again later. Account holders can access saved takeoffs through their dashboard.
Guest purchases are not saved to a dashboard, although limited transaction and processing records may still be retained.
Service providers and sharing
We use third-party providers for services such as document processing, payments, hosting, storage, authentication, email, and security.
These providers receive information only as needed to operate DoorWhiz. We do not sell or rent your documents or personal information, and we do not use your project documents for advertising.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information.
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain required business records, protect the platform, and comply with legal obligations.
